Hope brightens the world. Despite adversity, Fobeworld’s Child Sponsorship Program help resilient children achieve the unimaginable. Education and basic needs support were game-changers. With determination, a little help can go a long way. Captured by Dan Yessa and Henri-Dunant CHIKURU, these inspiring mini-documentaries showcase the transformative power even in hardship. Despite the Odds - Stephanie 13 Years Old
Stephanie is an 11-year-old girl living in poverty. Despite this, she dreams of becoming a professional dancer and later, an art professor. She spends hours practicing, even without access to a formal dance school.
Despite the financial difficulties and obstacles she faces, Stephanie remains optimistic and hopeful. She believes that God has a plan for her life and that her dreams are achievable. She works hard every day, hoping to find a sponsor who can help her achieve her goals.
Over time, Stephanie’s love for the arts expands beyond dance. She develops a passion for cinema and dreams of becoming an art professor.
Currently, Stephanie is enrolled in our child sponsorship program and benefits from our Fobeworld Cinema Workshop program and other educational support to pursue her dreams.
Stephanie’s story is an inspiration to all those who dream of achieving their goals despite the odds. Her determination and perseverance are a source of motivation for anyone looking to make a difference in the life of a child through our programs.
Hope in the Face of Adversity - Espé
Espé is a young girl living in difficult circumstances in an IDP camp in the northern region of the DRC. Despite never having the opportunity to attend school, she holds onto hope and dreams of becoming a teacher.
“My father didn’t afford to send me to school due to the lack of school fees” – Said Espé. However, since being registered in Fobeworld’s child sponsorship program, she has renewed hope for her future. She knows that finding a sponsor will make a big difference in her life and continues to believe in her dreams despite the challenges she faces.
Although Espé’s life hasn’t been easy, her determination and strength shine through in the face of adversity. She holds tightly to the hope that one day she will be able to break free from the cycle of poverty and make a difference in her community as a teacher.
Through Fobeworld’s child sponsorship program, Espé has access to education and other opportunities that were once out of reach. Her story serves as a reminder of the power of hope and the impact that a little support can have on a child’s life.

Jeanine is a widow mother living in the Disaster Camp in DRC, struggling to provide for her children after losing everything in the volcanic eruption. She feels lost and hopeless, not knowing how she will ever be able to give her children the life they deserve. But Jeanine is a fighter, and she refuses to give up.
Through the local church, Jeanine registers her child in Fobeworld’s child sponsorship program. She has faith that sponsorship can change the lives of entire families, and she believes that her own family will be no exception. Her unshakeable faith is a testament to the power of hope and determination.
As Jeanine waits for a sponsor, she continues to fight for her family. She does whatever it takes to provide for her children, even if it means going without herself. She never loses sight of her ultimate goal – to give her children the chance at a better life.
Finally, a sponsor is found for Jeanine’s child. The impact is immediate and life-changing.
